How You Can Drive Your Company to Start Your Emerging Technology Preparedness

The hype is all around us - accept a payment from your customer’s car, no swipe needed.  Use Big Data to gain insights from your cash flows and your customer’s buying habits.  Transfer assets and reconcile in real-time.  Rapidly advancing technology is altering the way we do business, enabling us to increase convenience and relevance. What do we need to do to prepare for the new wave of tech?  From the Internet of Things to Blockchain and more, we’ll discuss how new technologies affect how companies do business and the role you as a financial executive can play in helping your company navigate into the future.

Session concludes with a roundtable discussions on how to apply what’s been learned and what you can do tomorrow to play a greater role in driving your company toward the right strategy decisions.

Session objectives:

1) To understand what factors are causing the changes in innovation and customer and consumer expectations?
2) To gain insights into each of the 5 key technologies driving today’s change: Big Data; Artificial Intelligence; Internet of Things; APIs; and Blockchain.
3) To learn how the CFO needs to get out in front of these technologies and socialize the message within their organizations

Presenter: Seth Marlowe, MBA/MIS CTP, AAP, APPSC

Seth Marlowe is a Senior Vice President and Strategist with Wells Fargo’s Treasury Insights Consulting Group. He is a thought leader on technology, data, and innovation helping advance the bank and its customers into the next generation of payments. His focus is on the payments ecosystem and its technologies including: APIs, real time payments (RTP), AI, robotic process automation (RPA), blockchain, distributed ledger technology (DLT), bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, big data, and the internet of things (IoT).

 

Seth joined Wells Fargo in 2010 and has served in a number of roles in Treasury Management Sales and Product Management. Prior to joining the bank, Seth held treasury and consulting positions at GE, Danone, Praxair, PepsiCo and EY.

For FEI CPE credits, one credit hour equals 50 minutes according to NASBA guidelines. Some states boards may differ on how many minutes constitute a credit hour.
