The CFOs’ Role in Building Talent

John will moderate a panel of executives with deep experience managing complex teams.  They will open with remarks from their different perspectives:

·        How to identify and recruit in new team members, as well as how to retain them

·        Best practices in developing your people’s capabilities—some which work for you and others in different parts of the company, or even different companies

·        What you as the CFO need to know to work effectively with HR, whether you run it or work with it.

·        Some great Do’s and Don’ts for you to take away.

John will lead a lively discussion of the emerging role of the CFO in building strong personnel: accounting and throughout the organization.  You will have a chance to gain both expert and peer input into the challenges you face.

Mark Consoli, a Real Estate Executive with 25+ years of commercial real estate experience provides CFO consulting services to privately held real estate firms. Services include financing, underwriting, proformas, due diligence, deal structuring and negotiation, accounting, reporting, process review and improvement.  Mark has an extensive background in real estate finance, accounting and operations.  Asset class experience includes multifamily, commercial office, retail, parking facilities and hotels. Transaction experience includes acquisitions, dispositions, debt and equity.

Mark began his career in public accounting and built his practice on the basis of roles as CFO/COO at Metropolitan Properties, Simon Konover Company, Davis Companies, and Northland Investment.

State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit. For FEI CPE credits, one credit hour equals 50 minutes according to NASBA guidelines. Some states boards may differ on how many minutes constitute a credit hour.
