Ellen Richstone, Independent Board Director

Ellen Richstone is a full time Independent Board Director. She has been a Public Company Board Director for a variety of companies ranging in size from small cap up to S&P 500 over the past 15 years. Ellen is a former CEO, former CFO of several public and private companies including a Fortune 500 (Rohr Aerospace) and former VP Treasurer of a Fortune 500 Company.


As a Board Member, Ellen is currently sitting on three public company boards in the following industries: Technology, Clean Tech and Industrial. (eMagin, Orion Energy Systems and Superior Industries).


Ellen’s Board and operating experience includes Biotech; Consumer Products; Computer Hardware/Software; Networking Communications; Semiconductors; Pharma.


She is a qualified Financial Expert and Chairs three Audit Committees.


Ellen was given the first annual Distinguished Director Award from the American College of Corporate Directors (CDG), an organization of 1500 public company directors nationwide. She also serves on the Board of the National Association of Corporate Directors in New England (NACD-NE), Chairs Programming and recently achieved status as an NACD Board Leadership Fellow, the highest level in Governance given by the NACD. 




Larry Stybel, Psychologist, Co-Founder of and

Larry is a licensed doctoral level (Harvard) psychologist and co-founder of and works with Nominating & Governance Committees of Boards of Directors on Board Talent and Board education.  Part of its work includes retained search for Board members.  Larry is a former member of the Board of Directors of the National Association of Corporate Directors (New England Chapter) and a former Board member for a venture backed company in the HRTech space. provides executive outplacement, leadership development, and retained search services.  Larry helps outplacement candidates’ network at Board of Directors levels and helps them shape their careers to get on Boards. 


He is a member of the FEI Boston Career Committee. 


Larry and his partner are co authors of NAVIGATING THE WATERFALL, a job search book for those who have “been there/done that” with traditional outplacement.  They also write monthly perspectives on leadership for PSYCHOLOGY TODAY.  To date there have been 300,000 downloads.

He is Winner of the 2019 Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award.  This Award recognizes Larry’s “lasting contributions to the field of leadership.”  Larry is listed in Marquis’ WHO’S WHO IN BUSINESS & FINANCE and Marquis’ WHO’S WHO IN AMERICA.


The Institute for Career Management International (ICCI) is the global body that certifies excellence in career management.  In 2010 Larry was named Career Management Fellow, the ICCI’s highest level accreditation.
