about this event

This presentation may alter your view of both what interviews really are and how best to navigate them. From the first phone interview with a recruiter through the last (of what lately seems to be an exhaustive round of interviews) with a potential employer, the nuances of what needs to be accomplished at each stage and how each stage can affect both the outcome and, if hired, your first months at your new job, need to be fully understood and prepared for. How best to do that is the central theme of this session.

Sam Pease is Principal of Talentnav Associates, LLC, where he works with managers and professionals at all stages of their careers, and particularly enjoys working those just starting out or mid-career, helping them better understand their talents and where the “best fit” might be, as well as the most advantageous way to “get there.”

Sam was formerly a Managing Director at New Directions, Inc, a nationally recognized career coaching and executive development firm, where he worked with the most senior level executives and professionals who were seeking new opportunities such as full-time positions; corporate boards; consulting practices; business ventures, non-profit leadership, or alternatives to full-time work.

Previously, Sam was a Partner at Heidrick & Struggles, Inc., an international executive search firm, where he led searches for CEO's, CFO's, CMO's and other C-Level positions. Primary clients were the portfolio companies of major Private Equity Firms in Boston, New York and Chicago, as well as other private and public companies nationally in the consumer, retail, consumer and business services, and industrial verticals. He had special expertise in finding management for family owned entities.

In his earlier business career, he was a Business Unit Manager at the HJ Heinz Company and, later Director of Corporate Marketing Strategy at Reebok International, Inc.
