Membership QualificationsPlease see below for the membership fees in each category. There is an additional FEI Boston Chapter Fee of $225 which includes complimentary registration for all FEI Boston Chapter Executive, Professional Development and Career Management events offered monthly. Registration for all events is required.
Most members of FEI are Executive Members. To qualify for Executive Membership, you must perform some of the duties of a financial executive and work for a company that meets the following criteria:

EXECUTIVE MEMBERSHIP$724 [$499 National + $225 Boston] The Executive membership category is open to those executives who perform some or all of the duties of a financial executive, serve companies that meet FEI’s qualifications and must hold a FEI qualifying title or serve on an audit committee as his/her profession. Typically Qualifying Titles
Individuals employed as consultants for service providers typically do not qualify. If you do not hold a typical qualifying title, you may qualify as an Executive member if your duties and responsibilities fall under the following guidelines:

ACADEMIC MEMBERSHIPInvestment to join = $225 Academic members must be a practicing educator in the field of accounting, business or finance and hold academic rank of a Dean, Assistant Dean, Professor, Associate Professor or Assistant Professor. GOVERNMENT/MILITARY MEMBERSHIPInvestment to join = $225 This category is open to all senior financial executives who serve in a finance, accounting, budget, or treasury position for a local, state, or federal government agency, department, bureau or office. Applicants for this category should have direct responsibility over budgetary expenditures of at least $25 million. The first step is to join FEI National. ENTREPRENEUR MEMBERSHIPInvestment to join = $330 A member is eligible to transfer into the Entrepreneur membership category if the member serves in an entrepreneurial role within a start-up or consulting company, or other such self-employment that would not qualify for membership under the current published criteria, and has been a member for at least two (2) consecutive years. IN-TRANSITION MEMBERSHIPInvestment to join = $225 In-Transition membership must be unemployed and must register with Headquarters’ Membership Department for Career Management services. Membership in the In-Transition category is open to applicants who have held a qualifying position during the past 5 years. All applications must be accompanied by a current resume and proof of former employment (e.g., business card, personalized company letterhead, or pay-stub with confidential information removed). Members may remain in the category for 2 consecutive years at the specified reduced dues rate. All members in the In-Transition category of membership will be invoiced annually for full Executive category dues rate and must qualify yearly for reduced dues consideration. The first step is to join FEI National. RETIRED AND LIFE RETIRED MEMBERSHIPLife Retired, Investment to join = $500 for membership term over 20 years or $1000 if membership term is under 20 years. A member is eligible to transfer into the categories of Retired/Life Retired Membership if the member is in good standing and fully retired from active business and/or from the field of education. Any member may elect to purchase a Life Retired Membership upon full retirement. Retired/Life Retired membership records cannot reflect business contact information, and all business-related information will be removed. Any member considering Retired/Life Retired membership should contact National to determine eligibility.
